There were nil members of the public and nil members of the press in attendance.

Mayor Roberts declared the meeting open at 5:30pm.

Item 3 Public Question Time

Item 4 Reports

Declarations of Interest by Elected Members, including the nature and extent of the interest. Declaration of Interest forms to be completed and handed to the Chief Executive Officer.

Item 5 Confidential

Moved Cr Newton, Seconded Cr Driver

That Council move into a Confidential Session to discuss these items under the terms of the Local Government Act 1995 Section 5.23(2).

CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

The meeting was closed to the public at 5.31pm and all recording ceased. The public and Administration staff left the Chambers with the exception of the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager Human Resources, Governance Officer (minute officer) and the Principal Consultant from Beilby Consulting (Pty) Ltd.

Moved Cr Hayden, Seconded Cr Zapper

That the meeting be reopened to the public.

CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

The meeting was reopened to the public and all recording recommenced at 5.37pm. The attendance was as noted above.

Mayor Roberts read aloud the recommendation.

Moved Cr Newton, Seconded Cr Driver

That Council ACCEPT the recommendation of the Chief Executive Officer to appoint Mr Chris Morrison to the position of Director City Businesses commencing on 7 March 2014.

Carried Unanimously

Item 6 Date of Next Meeting

The next Ordinary Council Meeting has been scheduled for 7.00pm on Tuesday, 4 March 2014, to be held at Council Chambers, Civic Centre, 23 Dundebar Road, Wanneroo.

There being no further business, the Mayor closed the meeting at 5.40pm
